Applications are open for the Ms. JD Writers in Residence Program 2026. Ms. JD is committed to amplifying the voices, faces, and concerns of women in the legal profession. Each year, they select a class of Writers in Residence from all stages of a legal career to write monthly blog posts drawing from their own experiences and expertise. From managing your mental health to navigating networking, and everything in between, our writers provide the thought-provoking, honest, and encouraging content you need.
The Writers in Residence program offers law students, attorneys, and legal professionals the opportunity to share their voice through the Ms. JD Blog. This program fosters a community of learning and growth, focusing on the lived experiences, challenges, and triumphs of women in law.
Their past writers have provided some of the most thought-provoking, encouraging, and honest content. Each writer chosen is expected to contribute one article monthly, which will be posted on their blog and shared with their community through newsletter and social media.

Open to:
- Current law students (1L, 2L, 3L, LLM)
- Recent graduates
- Practicing attorneys
- Legal professionals at any career stage
Application
Applications are due by 11:59 PM ET on August 1, 2026. Selected writers will be notified by August 7, 2026.
In addition to basic biographical information, the application form will ask for a PDF copy of your resume, a writing sample of no more than 2 pages, and a list of sample topics you want to write about.
