It is open to undergraduate students in a broad spectrum of HS-STEM Disciplines and DHS mission-relevant Research Areas. The ultimate goal of the program is to engage a diverse, educated and skilled pool of scientists and engineers in HS-STEM areas and to promote long-term relationships between students, researchers, DHS and research facilities to enhance the HS-STEM workforce.

The DHS Education Program is managed by ORAU through the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE)
