Applications are open for the Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) Visiting Scholars Program 2019. Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) has a policy to encourage international activities within the university and to promote international scholars. The Program aims to foster international collaboration through means of visiting scholars to teach regular credit courses to undergraduate and graduate students.

The main objectives of the MFU Visiting Scholars Program are:

  • Support the international atmosphere in Mae Fah Luang University
  • Expand the academic and teaching to be recognized internationally
  • Develop network and relation among partner universities
  • Students and lecturers gain more knowledge from expertise

Financial Support

Case 1 (Teaching in total 45 hours)
The financial arrangement includes the following:

  • Teaching Fees (in total 45 hours);
    • Lectures hour – THB 1,800 per hour
    • Laboratories hour – THB 750 per hour
  • Round-trip Airfare, Economy Class to Chiang Rai
  • Complimentary accommodation which includes a studio type apartment ‘University Guesthouse’ with breakfast and cleaning service once a week
  • Length of stay 2 months

Case 2 (Teaching and other activities in total 45 hours)
The financial arrangement includes the following:

  • Teaching Fees (in total 24 hours);
    • Lectures hour – THB 1,800 per hour
    • Laboratories hour – THB 750 per hour
    • Other activities such as research cooperation, (in total 21 hours) – THB 750 per hour
  • Round-trip Airfare, Economy Class to Chiang Rai
  • Complimentary accommodation which includes a studio type apartment ‘University Guesthouse’ with breakfast and cleaning service once a week
  • Length of stay 1 month

Case 3 (Depending on negotiation)
The financial arrangement includes the following:

  • Teaching Fees;
    • Lectures hour – THB 1,800 per hour
    • Laboratories hour – THB 750 per hour
    • Other activities – THB 750 per hour
  • Round-trip Airfare, Economy Class to Chiang Rai
  • Complimentary accommodation which includes a studio type apartment ‘University Guesthouse’ with breakfast and cleaning service once a week
  • Length of stay depending on negotiation

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be a professor in a partner institution or associate institution of  Mae Fah Luang University
  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree or be internationally recognized
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of teaching and research experience at their home institutions

Application

The following documents are required for complete application:

  • A completed MFU Visiting Scholars Program Application form
  • Resume or CV
  • Certificate of Employment (of the current institution) if any
  • Brief Course Syllabus (of suggesting courses)
  • Copy of Passport (the side with one’s picture)
  • Copy of Certificate of Doctoral Degree
