Scholarships for the Cattolica Africa Program – Study in Italy

The Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has developed a special program, Cattolica Africa Program, for students from the African continent. This program will enable students to study for undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs taught in English at UCSC’s Milan, Piacenza and Cremona Campuses.

Tuition and Scholarship

Through the Cattolica Africa Program all eligible applicants will be offered tuition fee reductions varyng from EUR 1,500 – 5,500 per year. However, students will still be responsible for their own living expenses, hence the Cattolica Africa Program is NOT a program through which full scholarships can be obtained.

Students should expect to cover a minimum of €850 per month for rent and food. Living costs in Piacenza and Cremona are approximately €200 per month lower than in Milan.

Degree Programs Students, either citizens or residents, of all African countries may apply for the Cattolica Africa Program, which is applicable only for the following degree programs taught in English.

The Cattolica Africa Scholarship consists of 2 sub-programs:

1. Cattolica Africa Scholars Program: This program consists of one undergraduate 3-year Bachelor Degree program in Business and Economics and of five 2-year MSc programs (Laurea Magistrale), all taught in English. These programs are preparing for an academic and/or professional career. Graduates of MSc programs are also eligible to enter PhD programs at Italian universities.

Undergraduate

  • BSc in Economics and Management (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014

Postgraduate

  • MSc in Banking and Finance (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • MSc in Economics (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • MSc in Management (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • MSc in International Management (Piacenza Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • MSc in Agriculture and Food Economics (Cremonese Campus) – Commencement in September 2014

2. Cattolica Africa Leadership Program: This program consists of five specialized Master programs (Master Universitario), taught in English, which all take 1 year to complete. These degree programs consist of one semester of coursework and one semester of internship and/or project activities. These programs are designed for students who seek to enhance their professional career through a specialized area of study, taught by top-academics and professional experts in the field.

  • Master in Global Business and Sustainability (Milan Campus) – Commencement in January 2015
  • Master of International Business (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • Master of Corporate Communication (Milan Campus) – Commencement in September 2014
  • Master of International Relations (Milan Campus) – Commencement in January 2015
  • Master of International Cooperation and Development (Milan Campus) – Commencement in January 2015

Admission requirements Admission requirements for all Master Degree programs include:

  • Completion of at least a Bachelor Degree from a recognized university (2nd class upper division / 2.1 degree or higher)
  • English Language Test score: IELTS 6.0 (Academic) or TOEFL IBT 80 if English is not your first language.or successful completion of a degree program taught in the English language.
