The European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC Global) is offering two new available internship opportunities. The EUNIC Global Office in Brussels is recruiting a Project Management Intern and a Cultural Policy Research Intern for a six-month period, starting from 1 December 2014.

EUNIC is the network of the European national institutes for culture. Formed in 2006, EUNIC is a recognised leader in cultural cooperation. EUNIC has 32 members from 27 countries that are based in over 150 countries with more than 2,000 branches and thousands of local partners. The members work in the arts, language, youth, education, science, intercultural dialogue and development sectors.
1. Project Management Intern
The traineeship will be for a period of 6 months, starting 1 December 2014.
Eligibility
- Main responsibilities of the Organisational Management Trainee:
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Board in setting up project-related meetings
- Assist the project team with organising project-related local and ‘off-shore’ events and trainings (i.e. ensuring venue booking, managing organisational details, booking travel etc.)
- Maintaining communication channels with EUNIC clusters active
- Contribute to development of training material and the European fellowship programme
- Proofread press and informational material
- Support in office management and general office administration
- Assist the project team with management of project finances and book keeping
Requirements
- Advanced studies or university degree in Cultural Policy and/or Management, Political Sciences, International Relations or related fields
- Keen interest in Intercultural Dialogue and its role in the European and national context
- Native speaker level of English, working knowledge of French desirable, any additional languages are considered a plus
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail in order to ensure outstanding quality and consistency
- Preferably previous experience in project management and event organising
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, ideally familiarity with MAC OS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Interviews will take place between 17 and 21 November 2014 and the successful candidate will be announced on 21 November.
Cultural Policy Research Intern
The traineeship will be for a period of 6 months, starting 1 December 2014.
Eligibility
- Main responsibilities of the Cultural Policy Trainee:
- Assist the Project Manager and Project Board in setting up research terms
- Assist the Project Manager in implementing the research activity, updating the timeline and ensuring input is properly collected
- Assist in all aspects of external and internal communication
- Contribute to production of promotional material
- Contribute to the development of the European fellowship programme
- Proofread press and informational material
- Assist in minutes taking
Requirements
- Advanced studies or university degree in Cultural policy and/or management, Political Sciences, International Relations or related fields
- Keen interest in Intercultural Dialogue, and its role in the European and national context
- Native speaker level of English, any additional languages are considered a plus
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Attention to detail in order to ensure outstanding quality and consistency
- Preferably previous experience in research (cultural policy research considered a plus)
- Good working knowledge of MS Office, ideally familiarity with MAC OS
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

Remuneration
The traineeship is remunerated under Belgian law by a ‘Convention d’immersion professionnelle’ (more details here). It is mandatory for the trainee to hold an advanced studies/ a university degree (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or equivalent). The trainee must have the right to legally work in the EU.
